Introduction
 

I've always thought that Vexed is one of the best Palm games.  Now that I've got a Palm 505, I wanted to see it in color.  James McCombe, the author, released the source code to Vexed under the GPL (GNU General Public License).  I've modified the bitmap files to make Vexed be in 8-bit (256 color) mode.

Also, Steve Haynal has provided an additional 60 levels, also released under the GNU GPL.  We've been waiting for more levels for a long time.  Thanks, Steve!

Installation

There are 3 separate vexed programs within this zip file.

To install, simply install the version of Vexed you wish to load using your Palm install tool of choice.  You may only have one version on your Palm at a time.

If you've previously played Vexed on your Palm before, you may wish to reset the solved levels count which is stored in the preferences.  To do this, start Vexed, then select "Preferences" from the pull-down menu, then press the Reset button on the Preferences panel.
 
 

vexed14.prc	This has the original 60 levels plus color.  It has no additional or changed function for monochrome device users.
vexed14a.prc	This has the new 60 levels from Steve Haynal plus color.  It should work on both monochrome and color devices.
vexed13.prc	The original monochrome-only Vexed, version 1.3.
